Announcing! our New Discussion Board,
where you can nominate a new famous Canadian or debate an old one.

is for Kerouac, Jack.  Father to the "Beat Generation" and author of "On the Road".
Jack "Ti-Jean" Kerouac may be remembered, if not idolized for his  body of work as one of the founding fathers of the "Beat" generation, but he, like most genius artists wasn't comfortable with fame.  Politically Conservative, he took pleasure in opposing "Hippie" ideology.
Nonetheless, Jack Kerouac's idiosyncratic
behavior included a "game of baseball" he conducted with a deck of cards, drinking "wino's" brand wines, and a curious fascination with the Catholic religion.
