Donovan Bailey |
||
| is the fastest man alive. One of five children born to parents George and Daisy, in Manchester, Jamaica. Donovan first came to Canada at the age of 13; in school, he excelled in both sports and academic curriculum. He later went on to hold a Diploma in Business Administration from Sheridan College. But, to get back to our main focal point, Donovan began training in 1991, not knowing that two years later he would win his first World championship, followed by two other victories in 1995. This was just the beginning, as Donovan won two Gold Medals at the Olympics in Atlanta, where he also set an Olympic record in the 100m, with a time of 9.84 seconds. He also holds the World Record for the indoor 50m with a time of 5.56 seconds. | ![]() |
