Announcing! our New Discussion Board,

Paul-Emile Borduas

is one of Quebec's most famous activists.  Aside from being a talented painter, Paul-Emile Borduas wrote "Le Refus Global"; an important manifesto which would change Quebec history.   He was to be  the first in a wave of artists establishing the importance of forward thinking in a world dominated by archaic tradition and religious oppression.  Needless to say, his struggle, as it is with most visionaries' was met with resistance from the church and state.  Nowadays, such a struggle seems almost illogical, as our society has found new leaders and corporate entities to worship, but one wonders what might have been, or what the world would be without its revolutionary hearts.
