Roberta Bondar

Is a Neurologist and Researcher with a list of credits and honors that seems to reach all the way into space.  She was one of the 6 first Canadian astronauts selected in December of 1983 to be trained in early 1984.  Roberta served as chairperson on the Canadian Life Sciences Subcommittee for Space Station between 1985 and 1989, and was named prime Payload Specialist for the first International Microgravity Laboratory Mission.

In 1992, he went on to fly on the space shuttle Discovery on a mission where she performed a series of life and medical science experiments.
