Deborah Cox

got inspired to do music from hearing Gladys Knight.  Who knew that she would one day become a diva herself, winning the Juno Award for best R&B Soul recording, as well as a nomination for an American Music Award for Best R&B Vocalist.  Deborah's big break came when she got he gig as a backup singer for Quebec pop chanteuse Celine Dion. She is the first Canadian to win a Soul Train Music Award which she took home for the best R&B/Soul Single Female category.
