	Emily Carr
	is perhaps the most influential of all Canadian fine artists.  her paintings, pottery, and writings are considered to be some of the Nation's greatest treasures, and many accomplished artists owe their inspiration, and have studied at the world famous Emily Carr Institute.   Emily herself was also known for her maverick attitude, spiritual, and individualistic approach, which are yet again, indicative of her true genius. She died in 1945.
