Holly Cole

was born in a musical family, her parents were both classical musicians, and she grew up in an atmosphere filled with diverse styles of music ranging from classical to pop; Holy Herself was classically-trained, but it wasn't until she heard got her first taste of wartime jazz while visiting her older brother who was studying jazz at the prestigious Berkelee College of Music in Boston, that she found her passion. The Holly Cole Trio is currently gaining world-wide fame with their beautiful renditions of jazz standards, and not-so-standards; the album "Temptation" is actually a tribute to maverick musician Tom Waits.
