John Candy

is just one of the many success stories that have stemmed from Toronto's brilliant SCTV comedy crew.  The late John Candy, best remembered for playing the jolly, annoying, but nonetheless likeable fat man in over 60 TV shows and hit films, made his film acting debut in what was also Arnold Schwartzenegger's film: "Hercules in New York". Aside fom acting, John Candy also produced "Who's Harry Crumb", and he directed the TV movie "Hostage for a Day" in 1994; his writing credits include several sketches for SCTV, and SCTV Network 90.
