| Born in Ste-Christine, Quebec, Glenn Ford, a.k.a.: Gwyllyn Samuel Newton Ford, has had a long and impressive career as one of the greatest actors in cinema; he is perhaps best known for his work with Frank Capra, and for playing family-men, but he was nonetheless impressive as Dave Bannion in German director Fritz Lang's first American feature "The Big Heat", and as Sidney Poitier's teacher in the teen classic "The Blackboard Jungle". |  |
