Tom Jackson

is a singer, songwriter, and the star of the widely acclaimed CBC series "North of 60", in which he plays Chief Peter Kenidi, and in the film "Medicine River" with Graham Greene.  Tom is also known for his humanitarian work; in 1997, when his family and friends were at risk of losing their homes to massive flooding in Manitoba, he organized The Red River Relief Benefit, an mini concert tour and TV special that raised nearly $3 million for flood relief.  Tom has recorded 7 albums, and in some cases, donated the profits to charity.  He is also quite involved in improving the lives of Canadian Native Americans, taking to heart the many serious issues they face in their daily lives.
