Elias Koteas |
||
| is a Montreal actor who has an
impressive list of credits to his name. Although he had already starred in a few films, his breakthrough performance was the lead in Malarek, a film about a reporter who used to be a juvenile offender, and is now resolved to expose police corruption. The role earned him a nomination for best actor at the Genie Awards, which opened doors for Elias, who went on to star in lead and supporting roles in films such as Desperate Hours, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Atom Egoyan's The Adjuster Exotica and Ararat, David Cronenberg's Crash, Gattaca, The Thin Red Line, Apt Pupil, Novocaine, and Collateral Damage. He is considered by many to be Canada's answer to Robert De Niro, but we prefer to think of him as Canada's Elias Koteas. |
