Anne Murray

is Canada's songbird. she has been a household name for over thirty years, has sold 40, 000 000, albums, and is constantly on the charts. Her breakthrough hit, "Snowbird", was written in 25 minutes, but remains one of her most famous songs, and was played more than any other song in 1970, the year of it's release. Anne Murray's biggest hit ever is the romantic ballad "You Needed Me", which she released in 1978, an it remains her favorite. She has won several awards, including 31 Juno Awards, 4 Grammys, 3 American Music Awards, 3 Country Music Association Awards, and 3 Canadian Country Music Association Awards.
