Announcing! our New Discussion Board,
where you can nominate a new famous Canadian or debate an old one.

Holly McNarland

is a tiny girl with a huge voice, and huge opinions.  One could even go as far as saying she was the riot Grrrl's Sarah McLachlan.  In addition to being angry, Holly also has a serious and focused side which is apparent in all of her songs, which is what is sometimes missing from feminism-inspired rock.  Holly's 1997 release "Push", earned her a Juno for best new solo artist.  Her latest, "Home is Where My Feet Are", which was recorded around the time she gave birth to her son, reveals a gentler side of the Winnipeg-born artist.
