Bobby Orr

was signed an amateur to the Boston Bruins when he was only 14 years of age.  Later on, after having shown incredible talent on the ice, Bobby Orr was signed by the Bruins with a professional contract. He redefined the defensive line, and was awarded Norris Trophy, followed by eight successive first-team all-star awards.  When the Bruins won the Stanley Cup in 1970 and 1972, Bobby Orr was the recipient of the Smythe Trophy both both times for his outstanding performance during the playoffs.  He retired from Hockey in 1979.
