Jane Siberry

financed, produced and released her self-titled debut album from the money she made working as a waitress.  Then, in the mid 80s, her album "No Borders Here"  made it onto the charts with the single "Mimi on the Beach".  Her  next album, "The Speckless Sky" went gold, and earned her two CASBY awards for Album and Producer of the Year in 1985.  Four years later, she released "When I was a Boy", which included "Calling All Angels," a song which was feature in Wim Wenders' "Until the End of the World".  Jane Siberry has also collaborated with Peter Gabriel, and contributed several other songs for movies such as "The Crow", and "Faraway So Close".
Now, she runs Sheeba, her own record label, which shows us an artist having come full circle, that circle being made of gold.
