Scott Speedman |
||
| is the former swimmer who took
up acting when a neck injury ended his hopes
of being a professional athlethe. Scott Speedman's first audition
came when he took on a challenge from his girlfriend to go on Much Music
(Canadian MTV)'s "Speaker's Corner" video booth and publicly
announced he would audition for the role of Robin in the then being cast
Batman film. This daring display did not get him the part, but it
nonetheless was the start of something big for Speedman. Though his
first role on the Nancy Drew TV series did little to make him a household
name, Scott's next gig, the role of Ben on the popular Warner teen drama
"Felicity" would prove to be his breakthrough. Scott then
got a part in the feature film "Duets" co-starring with Gwyneth
Paltrow, and will appear in the Plague Season,
a film based on a James Ellroy (L.A. Confidential) story.
