Amanda Tapping

has guest starred on such series as "Due South," "The X-Files," and "The Outer Limits," and was a series regular on Disney's "Flash Forward." She currently plays Captain Samantha Carter, on Stargate: SG-1, and has starred in TV movies such as "Lessons in Love," and "Degree of Guilt." Her list of feature films includes "Booty Call", The Void, and "Rent a Kid." Amanda was born in England, but she grew up in Toronto, Ontario, and also studied at the University of Windsor School of Dramatic Art. Amanda Tapping also enjoys writing, hiking, and riding horses.
